Our beliefs is the input
Our behaviours is the output.
For me that was my top learning from last week.
Therefore it is important that we have the right belief. The belief that we can reach our ambition.
Our ambition is to transform the lives of 1.1 billion people.
In order to do that we have to turn Ambition into Action. And the action starts with all of us, the leaders.
As we think about the actions, it is useful to remember the why. What is our own story as to why we do what we do.
My story is about my family.
My beautiful mother died from a combination of kidney failure and terminal breast cancer.
My late cousin died from late stage IPF.
And my late brother suffered badly from schizophrenia.
I wonder how they could have benefited from our pipeline drugs if they were still alive today.
Thank you Nancy Oezbek and Lykke Hinsch Gylvin, MD EMBA for curating an inspiring thought-provoking One Medicine Summit.
As I reflect on it a week later, these are my top 3 learnings
- Beliefs translating into behaviours
- Turning Ambition into Action
- What is my personal story?
