If you were a PIE, what kind of PIE are you?
This was a teaser question before my presentation on the topic of PIE
I had many interesting answers. Ada yang jawab apple pie, ada yang jawab tu-pai! The chosen winner of this was Po-peye. I love the creativity.
My presentation that day had nothing to do with the edible pie. It was about how important PIE is for your career success. PIE stands for Performance, Image and Exposure.
A research done in the US showed that 10% of your career advancement is dependent on your Performance, 30% is your Image and 60% is your Exposure.
We focus a lot on enhancing our performance but how about enhancing our image and exposure?
There are still 10 months left for this year. I encourage you to relook at your career goals under these 3 categories
- How is my performance? Macam mana nak hit peak performance?
- How is my image? Macam mana nak improve my personal branding?
- How is my exposure? Macam mana nak ada more better connections?
Remember Performance is only 10%. Don’t forget the other 90%.
