
2 minutes power pose in the disabled toilet before the presentation.
I did that yesterday before my big presentation for the company meeting. I did the power pose once in the morning in my room and then sekali lagi in the disabled toilet just before the presentation. Power pose macam Superman for 2 minutes.
I was following the tip from Amy Cuddy. In her TED talk she said that our body language can also control our state of mind. Therefore before going into a big meeting or doing a big presentation, we can make our mind to be more positive by adopting open body language positions. For example doing a power pose or sitting upright or not crossing your hands or legs.
So I thought okla I will try it this time. Do the power pose.
Did it work? I think it did. I was nervous as usual but was able to control the nervousness. I was open and smiling and remembered 90% of what I had scripted. I’m happy with the presentation and infact I’m still smiling as I write this.
