I don’t have time.
I am too busy.
It wasn’t my fault.
Have you used any of these excuses before? Pernah tak?
If you have, then you have drifted into victimship mentality.
It is normal to fall into the trap of victimship mentality. However what is not normal is to stay a victim.
We have to figure a way out of it and be in the Leadership mentality.
For example, my struggle has been about eating healthier.
My excuses are:
- The food is too good in Malaysia. Sedap sangat
- Work is so busy that I don’t have time to cook.
- Vegetables and salad are very expensive these days. Mahal betul.
So now I have made some commitments to myself
- Wednesday night is the night to choose a healthy dinner. Sehari je.
- When eating with friends, instead of 4 dishes, kurangkan to 3 dishes.
- Choose alternatives to fried food whenever possible. Rebus or grill.
They might not be big changes but it’s a start for me to climb out of victimship mentality.
You can do this too with your current challenges.
Instead of staying a victim, start planning your action plans to stop being a victim.
