Your powerpoint slides are not your presentation.
The slides are there to support your presentation. To make your presentation more better.
But it is not your presentation.
If your laptop malfunction or the projector rosak, you should be able to still do your presentation because you are not dependant on your slides.
I write my presentation fully word by word. Bila dah siap the final version, only then will I start making the slides.
My style is big photo with few words. I don’t want to distract people with slides that are busy and full of texts.
I want them to focus on what I say and not read the slides.
So remember
- Slides are for supporting your presentation
- Make the slides after you have finalised your speech
- Choose your own style with minimal text
