You don’t have to put your marital status in your CV. It’s not relevant that you are married, divorce or single & available
A few other things that are more better to leave out from your CV
- ’I am willing to learn and work hard’ – I am assuming everyone is like that.
- ’I am good at Microsoft Word and Excel’ – it is expected these days everyone can do this. Just like reading and writing.
- ’I won the best award in xxx in 1999’. Aiyo dah lama dah. No need la to put in.
- ’I was the treasurer of the Chess Club in Sekolah Menengah Jalan xxx in 2003’. Unless it is somehow relevant and important for the job that you are applying for then just delete la.
So tengok balik your CV and think whether the things you put in is relevant and does it differentiate you from other candidates out there.
