Don’t ask stupid questions when networking.
One time I asked a doctor from China how many children does he have. Of course the answer is only one because of the one-child policy in China. Adoi malunya.
Someone send me a message here on Linkedin asking me if I have any experience in pharmaceutical industry. I answered politely yes I have. I was in a good mood that day.
When you are networking make sure you do some background research of the people that you want to network with.
You can use the formula FROG. F=Family, R=Recreational Hobby, O=Occupation, G=General (current hot news).
This can help you to find some good topics for conversation so that you don’t end up asking stupid questions.
