I thought Matthew McConaughey is a male bimbo because he was in a lot of non-intellectual rom com movies.
So I was surprised to see his autobiography ‘Greenlight’ in the Top 10 list of books to read.

It’s my surprisingly awesome book of the year.
He writes very well about his life lessons and somehow I can relate to his learnings even though my life is at the opposite spectrum from his Hollywood lifestyle.
I am impressed by 3 things
– How much importance he puts on his family. Family is everything. He wrote about his love for his family a lot in this book. Reminding me to keep prioritizing my family.
– How much research he did to prepare for a new movie. To act well he needs to do his preparation well. Reminding me that to do my job well, I need to do my preparation well.
– How much reflection he does. The book is a great collection of his reflection on what has happened in his life. Reminding me to pause and also reflect what has been happening in my life.
