Love at First Sight

“Love at First Sight”
That is how powerful eye contact can be!

Eye contact is one of the most powerful non-verbal communication tool.
When you are talking to someone make sure that you maintain regular eye contact with the other person. This really helps with the rapport building.
But not too constant because then it becomes a stare and can feel a bit weird

Kalau rasa susah nak maintain eye contact, then I’ve been given this tip that you can also look at other parts of the face like the nose, the eye brow or the ear. I am not so convinced by this but you can give it a try and see the reaction.

By maintaining eye contact you can also gauge how the conversation is going. If the other person is also maintaining the eye contact, then they are obviously still interested in the conversation. If their eyes are darting around, they are probably losing interest in what you are talking about. If their eyes are closed, it means memang not interested anymore and they are asleep.

Eye contact is one of the main topic in my workshop “How To Make A Good First Impression”. The content of the workshop is specifically tailored for professionals who wants to improve their networking skill. It will be held this Saturday 11th Feb 9am-12pm at @iconik
