Interview is exactly like dating. You and the interviewer are trying to figure each other out, see whether you like each other and are compatible.
So don’t waste the opportunity to ask questions! Rugi if you say ‘I don’t have any question’.
‘How do you approach training & development in your team’ is a good question to ask an interviewer. If he or she tak boleh jawab then it rings an alarm bell for me that maybe training & development is not a big priority for them therefore do I want to work for this company.
Use the ‘Do you have any questions for me?’ part of the interview wisely because you are also there to find out more about the company. If during this part, you feel that the answers are not adequate, then the company is probably not the right one for you.
I have withdrawn myself from an interview process before because halfway through I wasn’t sure that I could really align myself with the company’s values and visions. Gut feeling rasa tak ngam.
Just like going out dating, it’s a 2-way process of sussing each other out. Sometimes it doesn’t work out, and then one day you find THE ONE.
