According to the famous author Dale Carnegie, a person’s name is the sweetest and most important sound in any language. But of course only when it is pronounced or spelled correctly.
I have seen my name written in so many different combinations that sometimes I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry or both. Tak tau la apasal susah sangat.
The latest incident was with a travel agent. They decided that they know better than me how my name should be written on the ticket.
My argument was that as I am the owner of the name for the last 50 years, they should follow the spelling that I gave them.
They don’t want to listen to me.
The name on the plane ticket doesn’t sound so sweet anymore.
