
I can speak 8 different type of English.
No 1. I first learnt the Malaysian School English. Untuk pass SPM.
No 2. Then I learnt the English English. I had a private tutor in school in England to teach me the proper way to talk English. He taught me that Edinburgh is pronounced as Edinbrrr and Worcester is Wooster.
No 3. Then I learnt Geordie English in Newcastle where I studied medicine. It’s a bit like loghat Kelantan. It’s another foreign language really.
No 4. Then I learnt Scottish English in Edinburgh when I worked there. Beautiful accent but had to learnt many new words like stuckie is plaster cast.
No 5. Then I learnt Welsh English when I moved to Swansea. Another different accent more like Indian accent when I first heard it.
No 6. Then I learnt Cockney English when I moved to London. Mainly from watching EastEnders on TV. It’s less elegant innit?
No 7. Then I learnt New York English. It’s like what you see on TV. Coffee is pronounced as cawfee.
No 8. Then I balik Malaysia so have to learn Manglish. This one you all know. Campur aje whatever you want.
