That’s the usual response when I tell people that I’m working for a pharma company.
Pharmaceutical industry is not just about pharmacy la.
It includes everything from the initial basic science research to the clinical trials to the production and distribution of medicine to the public.
Since I moved to the pharmaceutical industry my work has alhamdulillah taken me to UK, US, Germany and now I’m back to Malaysia.
I’ve been involved with some amazing innovative medicine in the fields of anticoagulation, diabetes, kidney disease, lung fibrosis and psoriasis.
Although I dah tak jumpa patients anymore, my work has impacted millions of patients in the world
Leaving clinical medicine to join pharmaceutical industry may not be a popular choice but it is very rewarding fulfilling and impactful.
People often asked me any regrets leaving hospital work?
