I bumped into her in the streets of Sapa, Vietnam.
I tried to avoid her gaze but I was too late.
Our eyes locked and she said hello.
There was no turning back. She asked me if I needed a local guide to show the beauty of the hills of Sapa
I politely said no but she was persistent.
But in a friendly kind of way. So I didn’t feel annoyed. In fact, I did wish I had brought my hiking boots so that I could go with her.
The next day I bumped into her again. This time I bought 2 souvenir bags from her to help her out not because I needed the bags. Tolong dia sikit la.
I was amazed how this young lady managed to build rapport and hooked me in so fast.
She uses eye contact, positive body language and her charm to win me over. Amazing skill learned from school of life and not from any business school.
Because of that, Mango was the most interesting person I met this year.
