When I hit 1 million a few months back I was already over the moon.
Now with 2 million, I am over Jupiter!
3 tips from me to attract more readers:
Write like you speak
People want to hear your voice. Therefore just write how you speak. It makes you authentic and more relatable. Just imagine if I write in Bahasa Malaysia baku, people would find it hard to relate to me because that’s not my normal character. That’s why I choose to write in campur rojak English-Malay because that is how I speak and how most people around me also speak la.
Selfie
You either love them or hate them. Very divided opinion. In my opinion, I think it helps attract the readers in. I compare it to a zoom call. Zoom call when you only hear the voices but the videos are off and compare it to a zoom call when the videos are on. Which one do you like more better and which is more effective? Mana lagi best? I know what your answer is so I think better to put photos with your posts.
Enjoy the process
Enjoy the actual process of writing. When you enjoy writing the posts, then the readers can also feel the joy. You will transmit the happiness, the positivity in your writing. It’s like meeting someone for the first time. If you are in a bad mood that day, then the other person can feel that, can sense that in your body language, your mannerism, your speech. If writing is a chore to you, then the readers will feel it too.
