Not to run away with the laptop but just for a few minutes.
In that few minutes, they can do whatever they like.
They were allowed to edit each other’s LinkedIn post.
They were allowed to cut cut cut.
They loved it.
It is so much fun to cut other people’s work. You don’t have any attachment to the stories, to the words.

When it comes to cutting your own work it becomes tough. We sayang our work and don’t want to cut it.
So this exercise taught them how to be RUTHLESS when editing. Don’t sayang anymore.
And editing down is a big part of writing a good LinkedIn post.
I am happy with the training yesterday. From the smile on their face and the chatter in the WhatsApp group I believe they are happy too.
