How to transition to another department or industry? Macam mana ya?
It is very tough to change industry or department when you don’t have the experience.
Imagine yourself as the hiring manager. Would you hire someone who doesn’t have any experience at all? It is such a big risk for the hiring manager.
So what you need to pray for is someone very generous to give you that first break.
Alternatively, you can discuss it with your manager and then start doing some project or assignment in the department that you are interested in.
This will give you some early experience in that department. Dapat la start belajar about that department.
And when later there is a job opening in that department, you can show them that you don’t have zero experience anymore.
This is the more better solution.
