Don’t write for everybody.
It’s very difficult to write a LinkedIn post that appeals to everybody. Susah tu.
You should be more specific about who is your target audience.
Think about which industry, location and age group.
For example, for myself my target is the healthcare industry. So it could be doctors, pharmacists, nurses or anyone else that’s related to healthcare. So my posts will have stories about hospitals and pharma industry.
I’m focusing on readers in Malaysia and Singapore. So my posts will refer to local events and have campur-campur cakap Melayu dgn cakap orang putih. You can see from the data that most of my readers are from Malaysia and Singapore.
My posts are also for the young professionals. Those who have been working 2-3 years already and have the ambition and drive to progress further in their career. So my posts are more about career development.
My ideal reader therefore is a young professional in the healthcare industry in Malaysia and Singapore.
Of course, if you don’t fit my reader profile, you are also welcomed to read my posts. Boleh je baca jugak ya.
Think about the profile of your reader.
