Don’t Give Up

Damn I forgot to put my workout shoes in my sports bag. I can see my shoes just by the door tapi terlupa nak masuk dalam beg. I was about to turn around and not turn up at my CrossFit and go have coffee instead when I thought to myself can I do the workout without my shoes?

I quickly checked the published workout and I thought apart from the rope climb I could do the rest without my shoes. Boleh la. Just have to adjust the rope climb to something else. Rope climb without shoes would be a disaster.

I was happy with myself because I didn’t take the easy way out of not turning up for the workout. This time I didn’t let a small hiccup disrupt my overall plan. It wasn’t such a big deal after all. Ok je. Still boleh workout.

This reminded me that often in life, we face some hiccups, some barriers in reaching our desired objectives and ambition. Ada halangan sikit. It is quite easy to just give up when that happens. What you can do is instead of turning back and running away, look for what adjustment you can make, what are the alternative solutions that can still lead you to the same results.

Don’t be so quick to give up.
