I love rope climbs. My coach said I climb macam monyet. It’s one of the best workout in CrossFit. Very demanding on the whole body.
When I started CrossFit 7 years ago, I didn’t think that it would be possible for me to climb a 15ft rope but here I am today I can do it quite comfortably.
What have I learned from CrossFit?
First is about the consistency of showing up. Half the battle is about showing up. I go to CrossFit 4-5 times a week. 530pm I cabut from the office to get to Crossfit and on Saturdays it is the 7am morning class. Being consistent means that you are continuously learning and getting better. You might not notice the difference in the short term but definitely in the longer term you will notice and feel the difference.
Second is about humility. Leave your ego at the door. CrossFit is not a place for showing off. Don’t try to do more than you can chew. Tak payah tunjuk terer. Listen to the coach and follow their suggestions. If the girl next to you is lifting more weight than you don’t try to outdo her because it will not end well.
Third is about camaraderie. CrossFit members are incredibly supportive of each other. We want to see everyone performing well so we push and cheer each other to our max limit. Bila I pergi to other CrossFit places around the world, the atmosphere is the same and everyone is always welcoming.
All these 3 things are very relevant to the workplace too.
Consistency. Humility. Camaraderie.
