Be ruthless with yourself.
Jangan bagi can.
That was my advice to those who attended my LinkedIn writing class.
– Be ruthless and stay focus on the ‘why’ you are writing on LinkedIn.
Write only about the related topics to your ‘why’ and jangan la tulis sesuka hati about any topics that you feel like writing.
The readers will by confused with your LinkedIn identity if you write about everything and anything. Nanti orang keliru.
– Be ruthless and cut, cut, cut your posts to make it simple.
Cut long paragraphs to short paragraphs. Cut long sentences to short sentences.
If you can convey the meaning in 5 words, don’t use 10 words.
Aim for only 1-1.5 phone pages long.
Mark Twain said “I didn’t have time to write you a short letter, so I wrote you a long one.”
You have plenty of time so don’t write a long LinkedIn post.
