Death of patients can be difficult to handle. Especially the younger ones and the ones that I’d been looking after for a while. There are a few that I still remember the details vividly.
That was my answer when someone asked me whether there were any difficult career moment in my life.
Of course there were many.

Failing the MRCP exams were also tough. Tak pernah fail exam sebelum tu. I was always a top student in class before this. Failing exams was not in my vocabulary. I asked myself how can I be so stupid to fail the MRCP exams twice.
Moving to Germany was not an easy decision. It was for a great job. But I was leaving behind United Kingdom the place where I spent 20 years of my adult life. Leaving behind my gorgeous London flat. Leaving behind all my friends.
It’s not unusual to have difficult moments in our career.
I learned to be resilient.
