She told us that God always answers her prayers. Once, she really wanted some KFC and then the next day someone came by with some KFC. She asked us what do we want. I answered. Also KFC. So she blessed us and prayed that we will all get 2 KFC each.
74 years old and living alone. Never married because of a disfiguring skin condition. Nobody wants me she said. Despite that, she’s happy and she’s contented. Her faith in religion keeps her grounded.
Such a humbling experience meeting her. And the rest of my team has many more stories from our CSR yesterday. Broken families, stroke survivors, mental health issues dan lain-lain.
We learned to be grateful of what we have.
We learned that our big problems are not that big after all.
We learned that we need to have a good retirement plan.
