7 things that annoy me when I look at a CV:
1. Bad unprofessional photo. It doesn’t give me a good first impression.
2. Poor layout. I don’t know where to start to read. Susah nak baca.
3. Long sentences and big paragraphs. Means I have to concentrate to find the important points.
4. Spelling mistakes. Seriously? Guna la spelling check.
5. Grammatical error. Easy to fix la these days.
6. Overselling. For example 100% for leadership skills. No one is 100% except Barack Obama.
7. Generic words. Such as honest, trustworthy, hardworking. Isn’t everyone like that?
Your CV will be more better without those things.
