This is a true story.
I was doing a training about presentation and OMG I didn’t have the presentation slides on my laptop. Adoi mati la.
I had been working on the slides on my other laptop and somehow I managed not to transfer the file to the other laptop. Such a school boy error. And so ironic since it was a training about presentation.
Luckily I remember the training very well because I structured it using the 1-3 method and I was still able to conduct the training from memory.
So important lesson no 1 is to make sure you have your presentation with you.
Important lesson no 2 is to make sure that you have the right version of the presentation with you. Sometimes we work on a few versions of a presentation and it can be a bit confusing which one is the latest version.
Important lesson no 3 is to make sure that you flick through all of your slides using the venue’s laptop. Sometimes the graphics and the layout might change because of the different types of laptops and operating systems.
3 important things to remember before doing a presentation:
- Jangan lupa to bring the presentation
- Check betul ke its the latest version
- Flick through one time when you reached the venue
